South Africa — anchor for the 2026–2027 Southern Africa rotation. The final host city and venue are currently being confirmed. Johannesburg, Durban and locations in the Eastern Cape are among the locations being considered. The final host and venue will be announced soon following completion of the hosting process.
4–6 November 2026. Three days of structured activation, dialogue, deal-making, showcasing, and partnership building.
As a special provision for the inaugural activation, the successful 2026 host region will also host the full 2027 SMART GFVC GATEWAY™, scheduled for 10–13 November 2027 — providing a two-year period to establish, develop and scale the Gateway.
